Here’s a video of the packrafting in the upper reaches of the Isar river on the trip through the Karwendel mountains:
The Isarklamm is a small canyon in the lower part of the Hinterautal valley. It’s absolutely the most interesting part on the river. No big wild water, only PR2 (class 1-3) and that’s already a lot of fun to me!
Water level at gauging station of Scharnitz: 109cm (mean: 135cm, low water: <115cm, high water: >160cm).
Hi dzjow, just found out about your side and packraft adventure on the Isar – cool – well done! Last week I received a packraft and I envision a CycFlyRafTrip: 1. Cycle trip from Munich to Lenggries, 2. Take of with the paraglider and fly close to the Isarklam, 3. Packraft back to Munich 🙂
Greetings Andreas
Wow, combining packrafting with paragliding? That’s an awesome plan, Andreas! I hope you have sufficient water to paddle all the way back to Munich.
